Basic Course Description:

We are pleased to offer a "learn to sail" course in a racing environment for women interested in sailing. This course requires that one participant on each boat be a Lake Geneva Yacht Club member as races will be sailed on Lake Geneva Yacht Club courses and under their bylaws. A discounted rate of $150 per boat per race (ordinarily, our instructor rate is $195/3 hours) is being offered this season to encourage participation. This price includes the splash fee and one instructor per boat to act as instructor and helms person. Five races are scheduled on the following dates:

July 5th,
July 19th
August 2nd

Tacking and Jibing
Starting a race, sailing around a race crourse
Right of way rules

Requirements:

Coast Guard approved life jacket
Swimsuit
Jacket or fleece
Towel & dry change of clothes
Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
