Opti Camp Ages 7-11*
Opti Camp is a beginner to intermediate sailing course designed for sailors who have completed Pram Camp or a similar program. They begin sailing Optimist dinghies independently, developing confidence and control on the water. Sailors learn to steer through all points of sail and practice navigating a simple triangle course.
This program is an excellent next step for young sailors ready to master the skills of single-handed sailing. Repeating Opti Camp is recommended to build proficiency before advancing to the Optimist Learn to Race program or joining the Youth Reachers.
Opti Camp classes meet five days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Lunches are available for purchase during registration.
