Youth Reachers is a course designed for intermediate to advanced sailors. Classes run Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sailors rotate through a variety of boats and boards—including Open BICs, 420s, Sonars, and windsurfers—to keep each day fresh and exciting. The Reachers program brings together sailors with diverse backgrounds and skill levels to broaden their sailing abilities and experiences. Instructors tailor each day’s activities to match conditions and sailor interests, ensuring dynamic and engaging sessions. Reachers also enjoy long-standing program traditions, including sailing to “Rock Island,” playing Sailing Jeopardy, and greasy watermelon game. 

The half-day format allows Opti Learn to Race and Race Team members to participate, creating a supportive environment where more experienced sailors can demonstrate advanced techniques and mentor fellow Reachers. The goal is to ensure sailors continue improving their skills while having a great time on the water.

Youth Reachers will be offered as one-week sessions, sailors are welcome to enroll in as many sessions as they wish.
